The Forgetting Curve – refers to a theoretical description of The Rate of Forgetting that explains how Memories are loss over time. The curve best resembles an exponential decrease that has the amount of retained information on the y-axis and time on the x-axis. The Forgetting Curve or Rate of Forgetting is thought to be true regardless of the unit of time assessed on the x-axis; that is, whether it is depicted in minutes, days, weeks or some other unit of time. This theory is one of the most significant contributions of Hermann Ebbinghaus.
