Sins of Memory – seven common ways that Memory can fail an individual. The phrase was introduced and made popular by Daniel Schacter, a researcher and author, in his book entitled The Seven Sins of Memory: How the Mind Forgets and Remembers.

The seven Sins of Memory are: Transience, Absent-Mindedness, Blocking, Misattribution, Suggestibility, Persistence, and Bias.
